HTC HERO – my new phone

Singtel delivered my phone to my office yesterday.

So the first thing i went home was to unbox the shrink-wrapped package with the help of my niece.

Its the brown version, not the while Telfon-coated white one i am getting. Felt the white one look too i-phone like.

The box inside contains a cable to be used for both charging and data transfer, a stereo headpiece (which was black to my disappointment), 2gb memory card with adaptor, some documents on accessories, care instructions and quick start.

Although it was stated inside to charge for 3 hours, i plugged it in at 10pm plus and only off the charger this morning at 7am+ plus. And then it was 3 hours of playing around with the phone to find out its capabilities (can’t play most video files, yucks).

And i realised i need to keep an eye on the GPRS icon at the top of the screen. Since i am still under M1 data-less plan, i must be careful not to do too much data transfer so they will be giving me a huge bill as farewell gift.

So far so good, don’t have the bright or dead pixels as many others have complained.

In memory of my Sony Ericsson W850i.

Hero is coming…

Mario Kart DS CM

Cute CM.

Got D-cup meh?

Old and intolerant

A couple of months back, i was back from riding my bike and waiting for the lift when an old uncle wearing a motorbike helmet came along.

The lift came and he went in, totally ignoring me and with no intention to help me hold the door while i pushed my bike in. The door came closing twice on my bike and i was rather surprised to see a selfish idiot nowadays. Eventually, i managed to get my bike in.

Reached my floor first and i pushed my bike out. Needless to say, he just stood there.

Its ok. First time, i will forgive but won’t forget.

So today, i took my new bike out and went for a spin nearby. When i was at the void deck waiting for the lift to come down, i was joined by this lady and a young girl.

The lift came and i pushed my bike in while they came in later, beckoning to someone whom i cannot see, to join them. Then, this old uncle in bike helmet appeared and came into the lift with a look of disgust.

“The bike cannot go in anymore meh?"

CB. You dun have eyes to see izzit?

The lady, apparently his daughter, simply remarked that the lift ride is only a short while so just bear with it lah. Then the old idiot continued with why should the bike can use the lift, blah blah…

Nabei. You KPKB enuff liao boh?

Reached my floor and lucky for him and me, he went out of the lift so that i can push my bike out. While exiting, i said my thanks to the lady, she deserved it. Had not be her existence, i would have blown it and said ugly things.

I realised that as people grow older, they tend to get less easy to get along, less tolerant of others. This is quite opposite of what i thought i will be when i get older, to be more 看得開 and 隨便. Afterall, having grown to such an age, shouldn’t one have learn that being grouchy and selfish will only make oneself miserable?

Forgetful can be a bliss too

I have a JC classmate, lets call him YH.

We are good friends, occasionally still hanging around until he emigrated to down under a year ago. Didn’t get much news of him then.

So few days ago, when i was finishing up an audit at one of my supplier’s plant, i was caught totally off-guard when i heard his name mentioned.

One of the plant managers said “YH is coming back next week, maybe he will look for you…"

It took me a couple of sec to register that, and then to realise this manager bear the same surname as YH.

OMG. He is my friend’s dad?!

Siao lah. I have seen YH’s dad a couple of times before, not much, but definitely enough to get an impression. Yet for all these three years when i was talking to this manager, i have no memory of him at all.

(And so it is, after confirming with YH)

This may have been a blessing in disguise. Now, having known who this manager is, i will probably be feeling not so comfortable. Yet for these three years, i was able to carry myself professionally, treating the suppliers as just what they are and nothing more.

Haha, how forgetful can i be?

Zhng my bike

My bike looks lost without its deserved accessories.

So i went to zhng a bit… but not before i get myself a helmet.

Met Testagrossa. Cost me $95. And i got pretty upset because the other design (which i didn’t get to see since i ask for cheaper ones) has a color scheme that suits my bike.

My old and new bike.

And the new accessories are…

a guard for chainstay…

a water-bottle rack…

a Cateye rear light…

but damn tulan lah, my first ride out kenna scratch liao…

can see? its a scratch at the brake handle. Damn heartpain lah…
